Welcome to Sweet Street Cakery! By accessing our website or placing an order with us, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

General Information

1.1 Sweet Street Cakery specializes in creating custom celebration cakes for birthdays, weddings, and other events.

1.2 These Terms and Conditions apply to all website users and customers who engage with our services or products. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1.3 We operate under the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

2.1 All custom orders must be confirmed at least 1 week prior to the required date. Late orders may incur an additional fee, subject to availability.

2.2 Due to the custom nature of our business, the full payment of your order is required to secure your order. The balance must be paid before the collection or delivery date.

2.3 Payments can be made via debit or credit card.

2.4 Failure to make payments on time may result in the cancellation of your order.

3.1 While we take precautions to avoid cross-contamination, our cakes are prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens such as nuts, gluten, and dairy. All baked goods contain wheat, gluten, dairy and eggs. 

3.2 Customers must inform us of any specific dietary requirements or allergies at the time of placing the order.

3.3 We are not liable for allergic reactions caused by undisclosed allergies or misuse of our products.

4.1 Our cakes are buttercream cakes and are required to be stored in the fridge, but recommended to be enjoyed at room temperature. This means that you will need to find space in your fridge for your cake, and bring it out 1-2 hours before serving. 

If being delivered to a venue, Sweet Street Cakery will ensure this is done with care. Unfortunately, Sweet Street Cakery cannot be held liable for any damage incurred when being stored at other premises or when being handled by people or staff outside of Sweet Street Cakery. 

​4.2 Detailed storage and handling instructions will be provided with your order. Failure to follow these guidelines may affect the quality of the cake, and we will not be held responsible for any resulting issues.

5.1 Cancellation requests must be made in writing. Refunds are subject to the following conditions:

   - Cancellations made 5 before the event will receive a partial refund, minus 50% of the total order cost. 

   - Cancellations made within 4 of the event are non-refundable, but may be eligible for a store credit. 

5.2 Refunds will not be provided for change-of-mind requests or dissatisfaction based on subjective taste preferences.

5.3 In the unlikely event that we cannot fulfill your order due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control, a full refund will be issued.

6.1 Customers may provide inspiration images to guide the design process. However, we do not replicate designs and reserve the right to make creative adjustments.

6.2 All designs are subject to our artistic interpretation and may vary slightly from the provided inspiration images.

7.1 Our liability is limited to the cost of the product purchased. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

7.2 We are not responsible for damages to cakes once they have been collected or delivered.

8.1 Delivery is available within 20km of Eleebana for celebration cakes, and within 60km for wedding cakes. Fees may apply based on distance.

8.2 Customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the order at the agreed delivery time and location.

8.3 Cakes collected from our premises are transported at the customer’s own risk. We recommend careful handling and safe transportation.
